Spoon Carving with Bryan Scoresby

Date: Wednesdays (2 weeks) This is a 2 week class. When you register you will pick a start date and finish the following week.
Time: 7-9pm
Location: TAF Creative Art Center 53 W Main St. American Fork
Class Description: Come learn to carve wooden spoons. Hand carved wooden spoons are both beautiful and functional, and an excellent conversation piece for the kitchen. We will discuss safety, technique, spoon design and care, then pick up knives and spoon blanks and spend the rest of the night carving. Plan on 2 sessions to complete your own spoon to take home and use depending on the style and size you pick.
Supplies: Class tools will be provided. Option to purchase a take home spoon carving kit consisting of carving axe, straight knife and curved spoon knife for $125. This kit can be purchased during class from the instructor.
Refund Policy: Participants have 30 days prior to class to notify TAF of changes or cancellations to their registration status to receive a full refund or apply fees to future art class. Closer than 30 days to start of class, registration fees will not be refunded and will be donated to the Timpanogos Arts Foundation.
