Christmas in the Rotunda 2021 Art Show

Season of Joy

Come and showcase your amazing talents at this year's Winter Art Show December 9 - 30, 2021

inside the beautiful American Fork Library Rotunda.  

FOR ALL YOUTH AND ADULT ARTISTS

THEME:  Season of Joy!  

RULES:

1. Art pieces should depict this year's theme with holiday activities, winter season motifs, or religious traditions of this special time of year.
2. Artists must be 3 years old or older to enter a piece.  
3. There are two Divisions: Youth and Adult. The Youth category is split into High School, Junior High, Intermediate (grades 4-6), Primary (grades 1-3), and Kindergarten/Preschool. The Adult category is split into Experienced and Novice.
4. One entry fee allows only TWO art entries per person.
5. 2-D CATEGORIES: Art must be two dimensional in the following mediums: oil, acrylic, water media, mixed media, photography (color and black/white), digital media, and drawing (color, black/white), hand - lettering, and textiles & fabric arts.  
6. NEW CATEGORY: Christmas Ornaments!  Ornaments must be an original works of art, hand-made, and have a maximum height of 5 inches and weight of 2 ounces.  Ornaments can be made out of wood, metal, clay, fabric, yarn, buttons, paper, etc!  No other sculpture, ceramics, woodcarving or three dimensional artworks will be accepted.
7. NEW CATEGORY: Christmas Cards!  Cards must be original works of art, hand-made or digitally designed.  Cards may have a frame & wired or be folded to display!  10 inch max height. Calligraphy, illustration, graphic design, collage, and paper crafts are all acceptable mediums!
8. Art in the 2-D categories must be FRAMED with a WIRE-HANGER.  Its recommended that art be professionally wired on the back to ensure the art's safety on our hanging systems. Youth art may be matted without a glass frame.
9. Maximum height or width art dimensions is 24 inches.
10. Must be original work.
11. Artists must honor the Art Release date of Saturday, January 8 from 10 am to noon to pick up their work.  Any art left will be fined $10 for storage and handling fees.

REGISTRATION:

Register before Wednesday, December 8th!  

Cost: $5 per artist (only 2 entries per artist)

ART DROP-OFF:
Art Drop-off will be WEDNESDAY 8, 2021  between 5:30 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. at the library's rotunda. You will need to show the proof of registration form from your confirmation email via electronic devise or print out email.  Then bring confirmation to Art Drop-off. You may register at the library with cash or check only. 

AWARDS:
Award recipients will be selected by the Art Show judges. Entries in the both Youth and Adult Divisions may be awarded first, second, and third-place ribbons in each category. Honorable mention awards may also be given.  Possible cash prizes or couples may given.  

ARTIST AWARDS RECEPTION:
Wednesday, December 15 at 6 pm will be an artist reception, concert and awards ceremony at the library.

ART RELEASE: 

Artists must honor the Art Release date of Saturday, January 8 from 10 am to noon to pick up their work.  Any art left will be fined $10 for storage and handling fees.
