Ages: 5-12yrs

Cost: $10 a class (supplies included)

Classes Start: September 11th

Day: Mondays for 6 weeks

Time: 4-5pm

Location:  TAF Creative Art Center 53 W Main St. American Fork

Class description:  Come explore painting with acrylics with Miss Liz!! Learn how to use different tools such as brushes, sponges, toothpicks, tape, and glow paint to create your own unique awesomeness! Each week will have a new theme and technique that will build from class to class ending in an epic final project! Come to one or all classes!

Week 1: Tree Basics Painting (Brushes and Techniques)

Students will learn different brushes and strokes to paint a tree.

Week 2: Flower Basics Painting (Color Theory)

Students will learn blending methods to paint flowers utilizing brush techniques.

Week 3: Abstract Painting (Contrast Theory)

Students will use various materials to learn how to use contrast in conjunction with color and brush strokes, to create an abstract painting using painters tape.

Week 4: Space Painting (Depth and Dimension)

Students will use different tools such as sponges and toothpicks with regular and glow paint in utilizing skills taught thus far in combination of learning about depth and dimension to create a space painting with nebulas and stars.

Week 5: Ocean Beach (Texture)

Students will learn how to add texture combined with skills previously learned to create a beach scene that involves movement and texture.

Week 6: Mountainscape

Students will utilize all techniques over the past 5 weeks with the culmination of a final painting in which they will add elements from each previous painting to create a mountain landscape.

Refund Policy:   Participants have 30 days prior to class to notify TAF of changes or cancellations to their registration status to receive a full refund or apply fees to future art class.  Closer than 30 days to start of class, registration fees will not be refunded and will be donated to the Timpanogos Arts Foundation.
